TACOM’S COMPETITION ADVOCATE
Welcome to the Competition Management Office
web site. Competition will continue to be a part of our future here at TACOM and we will continue
to promote this acquisition strategy when it makes good business sense to do so. We will continue
to challenge procedures, requirements and specifications that may result in inappropriate noncompetitive
procurements.
In our role as advocates for Competition, we stand ready to accomplish the following tasks:
- Ensure all responsible sources are given the opportunity to compete
- Advise interested parties on how to comply with directives on competition
- Provide a forum for discussing the problems and barriers to competition and recommended corrective actions
- Provide advice to prospective contractors on the source approval process
We encourage Industry to support joint Industry – Government programs to increase competition.
Qualified contractors must take advantage of every opportunity to compete for government business.
Competition within your business can be enhanced through competitive subcontract purchases.
